This is just the latest example of Governor Pritzker’s close family and friends profiting off of the COVID-19 crisis.

When it comes to contractors, Governor Pritzker definitely has a favorite. The same contractor that is responsible, and perhaps even famous among Illinoisans, for ripping toilets out of Pritzker’s Gold Coast mansion so the Governor could get a property tax break and trekking over the Wisconsin border to build a new mansion on the Pritzker’s horse farm during the Governor’s stay-at-home order, has received millions in contracts for coronavirus related work in Illinois.

According to reports, the contracting firm of Bulley & Andrews received contracts totaling nearly $9 million to convert former medical facilities into coronavirus acute-care sites.

This is just the latest example of Governor Pritzker’s close family and friends profiting off of the COVID-19 crisis. Recently, it was reported that Governor Pritzker’s family company, The Pritzker Group, invested in a company that was awarded a $13 million contract by the federal government to develop a test for COVID-19.

The lack of transparency surrounding these contracts that have been received by Governor Pritzker’s family and friends is deeply concerning and reeks of politics as usual in Illinois.
