Democrats are pushing harder than ever for a government takeover of our healthcare system that would lead to skyrocketing costs and put Washington bureaucrats between Illinois patients and their doctors.

According to research from the Kaiser Family Foundation published on GovernmentHealthcareFacts.com, the Democrats’ ‘Medicare for All’ or ‘public option’ plan could result in 6.7 million Illinoisans losing their employer-based healthcare coverage. 104,900 private-sector health care jobs in Illinois would be at risk of being wiped out under the federal government health care expansion. And although Biden has laid out how he will allegedly pay for the $2.25 trillion program, experts say that his proposed tax hikes still fall $800 billion short.

Illinois families deserve to understand the negative impacts of the Democrats’ plan for a government takeover of our health care system. Job losses and fuzzy math is something Illinois families have seen far too often from Illinois Democrats and know better than to trust politicians at their word.
