Pritzker Attempts to Shift Blame Over Delayed Nursing Home COVID-19 Vaccine Program

Governor Pritzker and his administration have doubled down on their attempt to shift blame and point fingers at pharmacies for the almost month-long delay in launching the vaccine distribution for assisted-care facilities. The delay has resulted in some assisted-care facilities not receiving the first vaccine until mid-February, despite seniors in long-term care facilities making up 49% of the total deaths in Illinois.

Therefore, the Governor’s attempt to shift blame solely on the pharmacies is a complete fabrication of the truth.
