When asked where the Governor would be spending his Thanksgiving, he refused to commit to his own guidance on travel and did not say if he would be staying in Illinois.

Yesterday, Governor Pritzker spent most of his daily COVID-19 briefing asking Illinoisans to skip Thanksgiving holiday travel this year due to a spike in coronavirus cases. However, when asked where the Governor would be spending his Thanksgiving, he refused to commit to his own guidance on travel and did not say if he would be staying in Illinois.

“Governor Pritzker’s hypocrisy knows no bounds when it comes to asking Illinoisans to do one thing while he does another,” said Kayleen Carlson, executive director of Illinois Rising Action. “Throughout this health and economic crisis, Governor Pritzker has been picking and choosing when rules will apply to him and his family, and this is just the latest example.”
